UBSI Solo Campus KELADATA Team Secures Top 50 Spot in Surakarta's Prestigious Research Competition
Surakarta — A commendable achievement has been secured by students from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Solo Campus. The KELADATA team has advanced to the top 50 of Surakarta City’s Prestigious Research Competition 2026, organised by the Surakarta Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA).
The KELADATA team comprises Oktavian Ramadhani, Aliya Safira Rais, and Ahnaf Ogy Pratista. For the competition, they presented an innovative project titled ‘Solo Data Innovation Study: Web-Based Complaint and Evaluation Service for Batik Solo Trans with Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Integration to Support Surakarta Smart City.’
Through this research, the KELADATA team has developed a digital solution using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance public service effectiveness, particularly in the Batik Solo Trans complaint and evaluation system. The innovation also contributes to Surakarta City’s Smart City development initiatives.
In response, Supriyanta, Head of the Informatics Study Program at UBSI Solo Campus, expressed pride in the KELADATA team’s achievement, which has put UBSI Solo Campus on the map at the city-level prestigious research competition. He added that this success could be the first step towards greater accomplishments.
‘All members of UBSI Solo’s academic community are praying for and supporting the KELADATA team as they progress to the next stage and aim to win the Surakarta City Prestigious Research Competition 2026,’ he said in a statement on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
Qualifying for the top 50 demonstrates UBSI Solo Campus students’ ability to produce innovations relevant to technological advancements and modern societal needs.
This achievement was also made possible through the guidance of supervisor Dr Maria Atik Sunarti Ekowati and full support from UBSI Solo Campus’s Informatics Study Program for student research and innovation development.
With a spirit of innovation and collaboration, the KELADATA team’s success is expected to inspire other students to continue creating and boldly offer technology-based solutions for the community.
