UBSI Pontianak Campus Students Present Papers at the 2026 National Technology Seminar
Students from the Information Systems programme at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Pontianak campus, known as the Creative Digital Campus, appeared as presenters at the UBSI 2026 National Seminar on Technology and Informatics Innovation. The hybrid event was attended by academics, researchers, and students from various regions in Indonesia as a platform for sharing research results in technology and informatics fields, on Thursday (9 April 2026), at the BSI Convention Center (BSI Convex), Kaliabang, Bekasi, West Java. Nine UBSI Pontianak campus students participated by presenting their scientific works online. They were grouped into two presenter teams addressing various topics based on information technology and digital innovation. The students’ participation in this national seminar forms part of efforts to strengthen the research culture within the campus environment, while also encouraging students to actively contribute to scientific forums. The Head of the Information Systems programme at the Pontianak campus, Muhammad Sony Maulana, stated that the students’ involvement as presenters demonstrates their readiness to face technological developments. “The students’ participation in this national seminar shows that they are capable of producing relevant scientific works and are ready to compete at the national level,” he said in a statement quoted on Saturday (18 April 2026). He added that the experience of presenting in a scientific forum provides added value for the students, particularly in honing their analytical, research, and scientific communication skills. “Through this activity, students not only learn in the classroom but also gain real experience in presenting research results and receiving feedback from various parties,” he emphasised. This national seminar featured the theme of digital transformation based on generative innovation, spotlighting the role of technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things in supporting an adaptive and sustainable digital ecosystem. The involvement of UBSI Pontianak campus students in the event also aligns with UBSI’s commitment as a Creative Digital Campus in encouraging the emergence of young innovators capable of making tangible contributions in the field of information technology.
