UBSI Pontianak campus, recognised as a Creative Digital Campus, has again achieved a proud milestone. Nadin Febriyanti, a student in the Accounting Information Systems programme, has won the West Kalimantan Environment Ambassador 2026 title at an event organised by AL Production at KFF Ayani Mega Mall on Thursday 8 May 2026.

The event, which selected the West Kalimantan Environment Ambassador 2026 from 11 contestants from diverse backgrounds, aimed to identify young people with concern for environmental issues, strong public communication skills, and a commitment to being agents of change within their communities.

Nadin’s success demonstrates that UBSI Pontianak students are not only academically accomplished but also actively involved in social and environmental initiatives. The participants were expected to demonstrate knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Nadin said she is proud and grateful for the achievement. She noted that taking part in the event offered many valuable lessons, particularly in boosting self-confidence and commitment to the environment. “I am very grateful to have earned the West Kalimantan Environment Ambassador 2026 title. For me, this is not only an achievement but also a mandate to urge the younger generation to care more about the environment and to protect the nature around us,” she said in a press release on Friday 22 May 2026.

Head of UBSI Pontianak Campus, Eri Bayu Pratama, also applauded the student’s achievement, noting that the award illustrates UBSI students can develop across various fields, including social and environmental arenas. “This achievement is expected to motivate other UBSI Pontianak students to continue to excel, actively contribute to the community, and bring positive impacts for the environment and their regions,” he said.

Through this achievement, UBSI Pontianak Campus again demonstrates its commitment to supporting the development of student potential so that they are not only academically competent but also highly socially and environmentally conscious.
