Jakarta – The spirit of education and hope for the future among the younger generation was once again felt during a visit by UBSI Pemuda Campus, Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika, to SMK Mardhika in East Jakarta on Monday, 18 May 2026. The visit marked an important moment in strengthening collaboration between the school and higher education institutions.

Setiaji, the head of UBSI Pemuda Campus in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, was received by M. Rafidhan Hindani, the Deputy Head of Public Relations and BKK at SMK Mardhika, along with several selected students who had demonstrated dedication and commendable achievements within the school.

From the outset, the atmosphere was warm. The students had an opportunity to learn more about university life, the academic environment, and the various flagship programmes offered by UBSI Pemuda Campus. For some students, this information provided an early image that pursuing higher education is not merely a distant dream but a real opportunity to attain.

During the visit, UBSI Pemuda Campus awarded the Beasiswa Jalur Undangan (BJU) to high-achieving students from SMK Mardhika. The scholarship is a form of appreciation for hard work, consistency in study, and both academic and non-academic achievements demonstrated by the students.

‘We are presenting the BJU programme as a form of appreciation for high-achieving students. We want to give them the opportunity to continue higher education without feeling burdened. Achievement and the spirit of learning must have room to keep growing,’ Setiaji said in a press release issued in Jakarta on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

According to him, the awarding of the scholarship is not only a symbol of recognition but also a moral encouragement for students to be more confident in planning their futures. Especially in this digital era, high school leavers are required not only to have good academic grades but also to be prepared to enter the workforce and adapt to technological change.

The visit also included a discussion and sharing session on the importance of education in the digital era. Setiaji also explained that the modern industry requires human resources with digital skills, communication abilities, creativity, and an adaptive mindset.

‘Through this scholarship programme, SMK Mardhika students are expected to prepare themselves to become an outstanding generation ready to compete in the future,’ he said.

The school expressed its appreciation. M. Rafidhan Hindani conveyed support for UBSI giving additional motivation for students to continue achieving.

‘We appreciate UBSI’s attention and support for SMK Mardhika students. Such programmes are meaningful because they give hope and new enthusiasm for students to continue their education to higher levels,’ said Mega.

The recipients of the BJU include Orchadz Septiono, who has chosen Information Technology as his programme of study; Muhammad Pasha Zahi, who has chosen Communications Studies; and Adelia Zahrana, who has chosen Business Law.

The event underscored that the synergy between schools and higher education plays an important role in opening up better educational opportunities. Through BJU, UBSI Pemuda Campus and SMK Mardhika jointly bring new hope for high-achieving students to keep moving, dreaming, and achieving a brighter future.
