UBSI Lecturer Joins BRIN Research on Regional Endowment Fund Model for Sustainable Development
A lecturer at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), Bisri, has been given the opportunity to take part in research activities at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). This is part of a cross-institutional collaboration examining economic governance and sustainable development in Indonesia.
Bisri is listed as a research member in a study titled “Model of Regional Endowment Fund (DAD) Management Based on Regional Characteristics to Support Sustainable Development”. This is part of Programme House 1: Transformation of Adaptive and Integrative Government Governance, with activity code CRC-RP1-08.
Bisri’s participation was established through the decision of the Head of the BRIN Research Organisation for Governance, Economy and Public Welfare Number 13/III.12/HK/2026 concerning the Research Activity Implementation Team within the Programme House.
The research is chaired by Kanetasya Sabilla from the BRIN Centre for Macroeconomic and Financial Research. The research team also involves BRIN researchers and academics from a number of universities, including Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, President University, Universitas Brawijaya and UBSI.
The research focuses on examining a regional endowment fund management model tailored to the characteristics of each region. The study is directed at looking at how fund management can support sustainable development while strengthening regional government governance.
Cross-institutional collaboration is an important part of the research. The different perspectives of BRIN researchers and academics from various universities are expected to enrich the study and produce recommendations relevant to development needs in the regions.
For Bisri, involvement in the research is not only an opportunity to contribute to national research, but also a space to broaden horizons and learn from academics and researchers who have experience in their fields.
“I am pleased because I can learn a lot from senior researchers from BRIN and other partner universities,” said Bisri in a statement on Friday (15/8/2026).
According to him, research collaboration like this provides valuable academic experience. Interaction with senior researchers and academics from various institutions opens up opportunities to broaden perspectives in viewing economic and governance issues.
Bisri’s involvement as a lecturer at UBSI in BRIN research is a form of recognition of the academic capacity of lecturers while opening up space for wider research collaboration at the national level.
The experience also shows the importance of lecturers continuing to be involved in research activities outside the campus environment.
For universities, the involvement of lecturers in national research not only provides benefits for individual competency development. The results of research collaboration also enrich the academic environment through the exchange of knowledge, experience and perspectives from various institutions.
UBSI continues to encourage lecturers to actively develop academic capacity through education, research and community service. Involvement in research with national institutions such as BRIN is one step to strengthen academic networks while increasing lecturers’ contribution to the development of science.
Through this collaboration, UBSI hopes that more lecturers can take part in strategic research that has relevance to real problems in society.
