UBSI Lecturer Appointed as National Instructor for President's Priority Programme

A lecturer at Bina Sarana Informatika University (UBSI) Pontianak campus, known as the Creative Digital Campus, has been entrusted by the Ministry of Cooperatives to serve as an instructor and facilitator in the Training for the Management and Institutional Development School (SPPI) for Managers of the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperative (KDKMP). Wanty Eka Jayanti conducted the training from 17 to 31 July 2026 at the State Defence Education Centre (Pusdik Bela Negara) of Rindam XII/Tanjungpura, Singkawang. This assignment is part of the implementation of a strategic government programme referring to Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2026 concerning the National Selection Committee for Human Resource Procurement in the context of fulfilling the President’s Priority Programme. During the training, Wanty delivered material on Risk Management Control and Mitigation. The material aims to equip managers of the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperative with the ability to identify, control, and mitigate various risks in cooperative management, thereby enabling them to achieve sound, accountable, and sustainable governance. Wanty stated that being part of a national strategic programme like this is an honour. ‘This also proves that the knowledge we develop in higher education provides real contributions to society, particularly in enhancing the capacity of cooperative managers in various regions,’ Wanty said in a statement on Wednesday (29/7/2026). The involvement of UBSI lecturers in this national training reflects the contribution of higher education in supporting the strengthening of human resource capacity across various sectors. In addition to carrying out educational duties, lecturers also play an active role through training, mentoring, and community service activities that support the implementation of various national development programmes. Through this participation, UBSI continues to encourage lecturers to contribute to various government and community programmes as part of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), while strengthening the role of higher education in Indonesia’s human resource development.
