UBSI Informatics Gains Kemendiktisaintek Grant to Accelerate Digital Education

Lecturers from the Informatics study programme at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) have been selected as recipients of assistance under the 2026 Digital Learning Innovation Programme (IPD). The decision was announced by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) via an official letter on Wednesday (10/6/2026). This success forms part of UBSI’s commitment as a Creative Digital Campus to accelerating digital transformation. The programme is also expected to enhance the accessibility of learning resources for students on a national level. Through this grant programme, the UBSI Informatics programme has obtained Rp 80 million in funding. The university is fully committed to providing facilities, infrastructure, and matching funds to support the programme’s success. The funds are allocated to developing learning innovations for the Computer Networking course. The proposing team is focusing on designing high-quality Learning Object Materials (LOM) which will be integrated into the SPADA Indonesia platform. The prepared materials include 16 learning videos, interactive digital modules, and Cisco-based network simulations. To ensure student competency meets the needs of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0, the learning process will utilise the Case Method and Project-Based Learning (PjBL). This innovation project is led by Jordy Lasmana Putra, M.Kom, as the chief proposer. He is directly supported by Professor of Computer Science and UBSI Rector, Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Wahyudi, M.Kom, M.M., M.Pd., IPU, ASEAN Eng, along with expert lecturers Rian Septian Anwar, M.Kom, and Eka Kusuma Pratama, M.Kom. To broaden the positive impact, UBSI has established cross-institutional collaboration in this project, partnering with the Informatics Engineering study programme of STT Wastukancana Purwakarta as a strategic partner. The Chief of the Proposing Team, Jordy, expressed gratitude for the significant trust placed by the government in his institution. For him, this grant is an important momentum for equalising education quality. ‘This achievement is a great mandate to continue innovating in building a quality and inclusive networked education ecosystem,’ said Jordy in his written statement, Sunday (14/6/2026). He added that the innovation in the Computer Networking course is expected not to stop merely as an administrative output, but to become institutionalised as a new adaptive standard. ‘Our vision is to ensure digital technology truly has a real impact in minimising the gap in educational quality in Indonesia,’ he concluded. This strategic step is expected to accelerate the achievement of the university’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and support the ‘Impactful Campus’ policy. Through the provision of inclusive learning materials on SPADA Indonesia, UBSI as a Creative Digital Campus is optimistic about producing excellent graduates ready to contribute to the national digital economy development.
