UBSI Hosts National Seminar to Foster Digital Innovators Towards Golden Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEKASI - The Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI) at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) held a hybrid National Seminar on Technological and Informatic Innovation at the BSI Convention Center, Kaliabang, Bekasi, West Java, on Thursday (9/4/2026). This event serves as an affirmation of the campus’s commitment to promoting sustainable digital transformation in Indonesia.

The seminar, themed around generative innovation-based digital transformation, attracted the attention of dozens of academics, researchers, and practitioners from various regions. More than 80 participants and presenters took part, either in person or online.

UBSI’s Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Diah Puspitasari, emphasised that the rapid development of technology today demands quick and precise responses. She stated that collaboration is the key.

“The current development of digital technology can no longer be avoided but must be responded to in an adaptive, collaborative, innovative, and sustainable manner,” said Diah in her opening remarks.

Diah explained that future technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) have formed a new ecosystem. According to her, this ecosystem requires strong synergy between various disciplines and industrial sectors.

Universities play a strategic role in building the foundation for such innovation. Scientific seminars like this are expected not only to serve as academic discussions but also to produce real solutions that can be directly implemented in society.

As a Creative Digital Campus, UBSI continues to strengthen cooperation with various computer higher education associations, both at the central and regional levels. This concrete step aims to create an integrated education and technology ecosystem.

“We are committed to continuously encouraging the birth of innovations that provide sustainable social and economic impacts. Collaboration between academics, practitioners, and the government is key to addressing global challenges,” said Diah.

Through this national seminar, UBSI hopes that new ideas will emerge as catalysts for national progress. Inclusive digital transformation is believed to be an important pillar in realising the aspirations of Golden Indonesia in the future.
