UBSI Flag-Raising Squad Performs at 81st Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony for LLDikti Region III
Precision and teamwork were key elements in the implementation of the 81st Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony.
The Flag-Raising Squad (Paskibra) of Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) carried out duties in the ceremony organised by the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III at the Tarumanagara Institute (ITARU) field, South Jakarta, on Monday (17/8/2026).
The involvement of the UBSI Paskibra was part of the students’ contribution to the success of the ceremony, which was attended by around 1,500 participants from various higher education institutions in Jakarta. The students performed their duties as members of the flag-raising squad, following the entire procession in accordance with ceremonial protocol.
The task demanded discipline, precision, teamwork, and readiness from every member. For UBSI students, this experience also served as a learning opportunity to develop responsibility and collaboration skills beyond the academic environment.
Maulana Fikri Ramadhan, one of the UBSI Paskibra members, said he gained valuable experience through his involvement in the ceremony.
“Besides being a form of service in commemorating independence, this activity taught me discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of working together in carrying out duties,” Maulana said in a statement received on Friday (21/8/2026).
He expressed hope that this experience would serve as motivation to continue developing himself and making positive contributions, both within the campus environment and in the wider community.
The 81st Indonesian Independence Day ceremony was led by the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), Prof Badri Munir Sukoco, as the ceremony inspector.
The involvement of students in the activity was part of learning beyond the classroom. In addition to training discipline and responsibility, the experience of being part of the Paskibra also provided students with the opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills.
For UBSI, the participation of the Paskibra in the 81st Indonesian Independence Day ceremony represented a form of support for the development of students’ potential and character.
Student activities are expected to complement academic competencies with experiences that shape disciplined, responsible attitudes and a spirit of nationalism.
As a Creative Digital Campus, UBSI continues to provide space for students to develop through both academic and student activities.
The experience gained from activities such as the Independence Day ceremony is expected to serve as a foundation for students to continue creating, collaborating, and making positive contributions to Indonesia.
