BEKASI — Bina Sarana Informatika Foundation (BSI) organised the Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing programme 1447 H across several campuses of Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), including at the UBSI Kaliabang campus in Bekasi, West Java.

The initiative ran from February 23 to March 13, 2026, Monday through Friday, before iftar time (breaking the fast). The programme targeted surrounding community members observing the Ramadhan fast.

Through the “UBSI Sharing Fellow Humans” initiative, the campus distributed appetizers and rice boxes to local residents. Each afternoon, community members arrived at the campus grounds to receive meal packages for breaking the fast. The programme fostered an atmosphere of togetherness between the academic community and surrounding residents.

Muhamad Tabrani, Head of the UBSI Kaliabang campus, stated that the sharing activity reflected the campus’s commitment to the surrounding environment. He described Ramadhan as a significant occasion for cultivating empathy and social solidarity.

“Through the UBSI Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing programme, we wish to share happiness with the surrounding community. We hope this activity helps those fasting and simultaneously nurtures a spirit of social responsibility within society,” Tabrani said in a statement issued Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Timi, one of the rice box recipients, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided. She noted that the aid was deeply meaningful for those managing daily activities with limited resources.

“Alhamdulillah, I am truly grateful. May UBSI always receive blessings, longevity, good health, and increasing sustenance. For us, this rice box is not merely food for breaking the fast, but also a gesture of attention that makes us feel valued,” Timi said.

Through this social initiative, UBSI, as a Digital Creative Campus, seeks to strengthen social responsibility within the surrounding community. The Ramadhan rice box sharing programme is hoped to become a regular activity delivering tangible benefits to residents near the campus.
