UBSI Distributes Hundreds of Nasi Boxes Daily to Residents and Ojek Online Drivers During Ramadhan
The momentum of the holy month of Ramadhan is being marked by Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), a Creative Digital Campus, through the UBSI Berbagi Nasi Box Ramadhan 1447 H programme. The activity has become an annual feature during Ramadhan, distributing hundreds of nasi boxes daily to the surrounding community with a buka puasa menu. The sharing effort is implemented consistently at UBSI Kampus Fatmawati, Kramat 98, Jatiwaringin, Kaliabang, Karawang and UBSI Kampus Tangerang, targeting local residents, online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojek online), street vendors, and daily workers who are still active ahead of the time of buka puasa. On the Fatmawati campus, the nasi box distribution takes place every Monday to Friday during Ramadhan. Food distribution occurs before maghrib and is greeted with enthusiasm by the local community surrounding the campus. Residents are seen queueing to receive nasi boxes distributed by the UBSI academic community as a manifestation of social care in the blessed month. The Head of UBSI Fatmawati campus, Ishak Kholil, said the activity is part of the campus’s commitment to continue to exist and provide benefits to the surrounding community.
