Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), known as the Creative Digital Campus, will participate in the Global Youth Congress 2026 taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from Thursday to Friday, 2-4 July 2026. For this international event, UBSI has delegated Cicih Nuareni, a lecturer from the English Literature Study Programme, along with two students: Kayla Shabirah Putri from the Communication Science Programme and Bella Amelia from the Information Systems Programme.

The Global Youth Congress is part of the Global Youth Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (GYC), an annual conference aimed at building a global youth network with a focus on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This forum brings together pupils, university students, young professionals, social activists, and innovators from various countries to share ideas and build cross-cultural collaborations.

Bella Amelia, one of the UBSI student delegates, said her participation in this event is a valuable opportunity to broaden her global perspective while gaining a deeper understanding of the younger generation’s role in supporting the achievement of the SDGs.

“The Global Youth Congress is not just about attending an international conference, but also about how we, as the younger generation, can learn, collaborate, and contribute to global issues. I want to use this opportunity to meet participants from various countries, exchange perspectives, and gain experiences that I can apply both on campus and in the community,” Bella said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday (12/6/2026).

She explained that the first agenda to be followed is the Youth Conference, a conference featuring international speakers, government representatives, social activists, young innovators, and experts from various fields.

“I am really looking forward to the Youth Conference session because there will be many inspiring speakers discussing leadership and sustainable development. I want to learn from their experiences and understand how different countries tackle global challenges with different approaches,” she said.

Participants will also take part in Project Collaboration, a group collaboration session to discuss various global issues and formulate innovative solutions.

“Through Project Collaboration, we will be invited to work together with participants from different cultural backgrounds and countries. In my opinion, this is a very valuable experience because we not only learn to convey ideas, but also learn to listen, negotiate, and find solutions together,” Bella said.

The next agenda is SDGs Training, which provides knowledge about the values and goals of sustainable development that are the main focus of the programme.

“Understanding the SDGs is very important for the younger generation. I hope this training can help me understand more deeply various social, economic, and environmental issues, so that I can be more active in taking a role in creating positive change around me,” she said.

Bella admitted she is enthusiastic about the Innovation Speech, a session that gives participants the opportunity to present their ideas and innovations.

“Each participant has different experiences and perspectives. I want to see how young people from various countries offer solutions to global challenges. I also hope to share my ideas and receive constructive feedback from other participants,” she said.

No less interesting, according to Bella, is the Volunteering Exchange agenda, which serves as a platform for cultural exchange and sharing experiences among participants.

“One of the things I am most looking forward to is the opportunity to get to know new cultures and exchange experiences with international participants. I believe that understanding diversity will help us become more open-minded, tolerant, and ready to collaborate in a global environment,” Bella said.

The series of activities will conclude with an Awarding Programme, where participants who have completed all agendas will be recognised as Innovation and Change Ambassadors 2026.

“For me, the award is not just a title, but a symbol of responsibility to continue learning, inspiring, and making a positive impact after the programme ends. I hope the experience gained during the Global Youth Congress can serve as a foundation to continue growing and contributing to society,” Bella said.

Through participation in the Global Youth Congress 2026, the UBSI delegation is expected to bring home experiences, insights, and international networks that will further strengthen the role of Indonesian students as a young generation ready to become agents of change at the global level.
