UBSI and Polri Strengthen Collaboration in Education and Human Resource Development
Universitas Bina Sarsem Informatika (UBSI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are strengthening their synergy in the fields of education and human resource development. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held at the UBSI Rectorate building, Senen, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/9/2026).
The MoU was signed by the Rector of UBSI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochamad Wahyudi, and Police Inspector General Dr. Anwar, acting as the Assistant Chief of the Indonesian National Police for Human Resources, represented by the Head of Sub-division of Cooperation, Bagjakdiklat SSDM Polri, AKBP Sri Andriyani. This signing represents a further step in aligning the role of higher education with the competency development needs within the police force.
The cooperation between UBSI and Polri covers several areas, ranging from education, training, assessment, and research to community service. The collaboration is also directed towards institutional development, the exchange and utilisation of data or information, the enhancement of competence and human resource utilisation, the use of facilities and infrastructure, and the implementation of strategic programmes in the field of higher education.
UBSI Rector Prof. Wahyudi stated that this cooperation is part of UBSI’s efforts as a Creative Digital Campus to expand the university’s contribution to human resource development while applying scientific knowledge to meet societal needs.
“The connection between higher education and the police institution can open up wider spaces for collaboration, not only in education and training but also in research and community service. Through this cooperation, it is hoped that the academic potential held by UBSI can be linked to the competency development needs within the Polri environment,” said Prof. Wahyudi in a press release received on Thursday (17/9).
Meanwhile, Sri noted that synergy with higher education institutions is a vital part of supporting the improvement of human resource quality. “Cooperation with UBSI is expected to serve as a space for competency development through education, training, seminars, discussions, professional certification, and various other development activities,” she emphasised.
This collaborative space, according to her, also provides opportunities for UBSI lecturers and students to participate in training, research, and community service within Polri’s work units and regional units. Additionally, both parties can conduct assessments and institutional development related to their respective duties and functions.
One form of human resource development included in this cooperation is the opportunity to provide scholarships for Undergraduate (S1) and Postgraduate (S2) programmes at UBSI, as a Creative Digital Campus, for eligible parties in accordance with applicable regulations.
“This opportunity is part of our efforts to encourage the enhancement of human resource capacity through access to higher education,” said Prof. Wahyudi.
The collaboration between UBSI and Polri, therefore, does not stop at the administrative aspect of signing an MoU. Its implementation is directed towards various activities that can bridge institutional needs with academic capacity, the competence of lecturers and students, and the resources available to both parties.
Moving forward, UBSI and Polri are expected to build sustainable cooperation in the development of education, human resource competence, research, and community service. Regular monitoring and evaluation will also be an important part of ensuring that the various programmes implemented remain relevant and provide benefits to both institutions and the community.
