A research team from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) conducted a research visit to the Secretariat Office of the Sukaresmi Mulus Rahayu Producer Cooperative in Garut Regency, West Java, on Thursday (27/08/2026). The visit aimed to identify partner needs and discuss the development of a Smart Agrologistics system.

This activity is part of the research funded by the Integrated Corporation of Agricultural Resources Empowerment (ICARE) grant, titled “Transformation of Potato Seed Production Through the Integration of Bioreactors, Ex-Vitro Technology, and the I-CARE Garut Corporate Smart Agrologistics System”. In addition to developing seed production technology, this research focuses on utilising digital technology to support farm management and the supply chain.

The Sukaresmi Mulus Rahayu Producer Cooperative serves as a breeder and manager in the Sukaresmic District, Garut. The involvement of field partners is considered crucial to ensure that the designed digital system aligns with the actual conditions and needs of the users.

The visit was attended by the UBSI research team leader, Dr Taufik Baidawi, along with team members Jenie Sundari, Sifa Fauziah, and Mochamad Nandi Susila. Representing the partner, the Secretary of the Sukaresmi Mulus Rahayu Producer Cooperative, Aa Lukman Hakim, participated in the discussion session.

Discussions between both parties focused on the workflow of farming activities and the information requirements needed to support the agricultural supply chain. Taufik emphasised that the design of the technology must begin with a deep understanding of the users’ needs.
