Ubedilah Badrun Reported to Police Over Criticism of Prabowo-Gibran as National Burden

A lecturer from Jakarta State University (UNJ), Ubedilah Badrun, has been reported to the Metro Jaya Regional Police following his statement describing Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a burden on the nation. The report was submitted by Rangga Kurnia Septian, Coordinator of Pemuda Garda Nusantara, and registered under number LP/B/2560/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated 13 April 2026. “Indeed, PMJ received a public report on Monday, 13 April 2026, regarding alleged hate speech on electronic media,” said the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, to reporters on Tuesday (14/4). “The complainant is RKS, an Indonesian citizen,” he added. For information, the statement was made by Ubedilah in a podcast uploaded to the YouTube channel Forum Keadilan TV, titled ‘Ubedilah Badrun: Prabowo Gibran Beban Bangsa’. In the video, Ubedilah stated that the Prabowo-Gibran government has become a burden on the Indonesian nation and must end its rule immediately. He said that the Prabowo-Gibran government also has inherent flaws from the start, including constitutional defects in the presidential election process. “Argumentatively, I am convinced that Prabowo-Gibran is a burden for this nation,” Ubedilah said in the podcast.
