UAS Confirms He Will Not Attend RI 1's Invitation at the Presidential Palace

Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) has confirmed that he will not be able to attend the gathering with RI 1. According to the schedule, RI 1 will hold an audience with ulama and kiai in the central courtyard of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday night, 5 March 2026, Western Indonesian Time.

UAS, who had been among those invited to attend, confirmed he could not come. He said today that he is scheduled to give a sermon in Brunei Darussalam.

‘UAS cannot attend the invitation for a meeting between the President and Islamic community organisations because he is on a dakwah safari in Brunei Darussalam,’ UAS said via his Instagram account, quoted by Republika in Jakarta on Thursday.

Nevertheless, UAS prayed that the event would run smoothly. ‘May the meeting be beneficial for the umat and the nation. Amen,’ said UAS.
