UAE Denies Claim of Netanyahu Visit Amid Conflict with Iran

According to Al Jazeera, on Thursday (14/5/2026), Netanyahu’s office stated in a release that “Netanyahu made a secret visit to the UAE and met with the President of the United Arab Emirates.” However, WAM, the official UAE news agency, stated, “The United Arab Emirates denies what is circulating regarding Netanyahu’s visit to the country, or the reception of an Israeli military delegation in its territory.” “The UAE affirms that its relations with Israel are public and built within the framework of the well-known Abraham Accords, which were publicly announced,” it said. “These relations are not based on secrecy or secret arrangements. Therefore, any claims regarding undisclosed visits or arrangements are unfounded unless issued by the relevant official UAE authorities,” it added. The UAE has requested that all media refrain from disseminating information without documentation. “The country calls on the media to be accurate and not to spread undocumented information or use it to create political impressions,” it stated.
