UAD Yogyakarta Student Allegedly Harasses Two Female Students During Community Service Programme

Sleman Police have received a report concerning an alleged case of sexual harassment by a student of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) in Yogyakarta against two female students during the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) community service programme. Sleman Police are now moving to investigate the report.

“It is true, regarding that information, the report has been received by Sleman Police,” said the Head of Public Relations at Sleman Police, Inspector Argo Anggoro, quoted by detikJogja on Monday (13 July 2026).

“The case is currently at the investigation stage. We cannot yet provide further details as the handling process is still ongoing,” he continued.

News of the alleged harassment by the student was uploaded by the Instagram account @bemfhuad. It stated that a student with the initials ACR had committed acts of sexual harassment against two female students with the initials FM and ASM. The victims were said to have pursued the internal mechanism by submitting reports to UAD’s LPPM.

In response, the Head of Public Relations and Protocol at UAD, Ariadi Nugraha, expressed the university’s concern over the incident experienced by the victims. He said that the LPPM, the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (Satgas PPKPT), and related units had followed up on the report in accordance with applicable procedures.

“Currently, the LPPM has issued an initial sanction by annulling and withholding permission to take part in the KKN process for two periods. This decision has been approved by the parents or guardians of both parties,” said Ariadi in a written statement received by detikJogja on Saturday (11 July).
