A student at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) has been accused of sexually harassing two female students during a Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) community service programme. The university has taken firm action by cancelling the accused student’s KKN placement. According to a post on the @bemfhuad Instagram account, the alleged perpetrator has the initials ACR. The sexual harassment was reportedly committed by ACR against two victims, with the initials FM and ASM. The alleged perpetrator is also said to have recounted the harassment to another person. The victims subsequently reported the matter to the UAD Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). Ariadi Nugraha, Head of the UAD Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, stated that the LPPM, the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (Satgas PPKPT), and related units have followed up on the report in accordance with applicable procedures. “Currently, the LPPM has imposed an initial sanction by cancelling and not granting permission to participate in the KKN process for two periods. This decision has been approved by the parents or guardians of both parties,” Ariadi said in a written statement received by detikJogja on Saturday (11/7/2026). Ariadi added that in addition to the KKN-related sanctions, UAD has also imposed academic sanctions on the alleged perpetrator of the sexual harassment. These sanctions will be adjusted according to the level of violation based on UAD Rector’s Regulation Number 14 of 2024 concerning the UAD Student Code of Conduct. “UAD respects the victims’ decision to take legal action over the incident. UAD condemns all forms of sexual harassment and is seriously continuing to prevent sexual harassment through the Satgas PPKPT,” he concluded.
