UAD Student Suspected of Sexual Harassment During KKN Expelled

Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Yogyakarta has imposed a drop-out (DO) sanction on ACR, a student previously suspected of committing sexual harassment during a community service programme (KKN). Head of Public Relations and Protocol at UAD, Ariadi Nugraha, stated that ACR was found to have committed the act of sexual harassment based on a series of internal campus investigations. “Yes, (he was proven to have committed harassment),” Ariadi said when contacted on Wednesday evening (15/7). Based on an official statement shared by Ariadi, the university leadership has made a decision, namely imposing an academic sanction formalised through Rector’s Decree Number 151 of 2026 concerning the Imposition of Sanctions on a Student named ACR. The leadership acted on a follow-up to Letter Number 006/SPPKPT-UAD/VII/2026 from the Chair of the university’s Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT), which contained a recommendation regarding the sexual violence incident at the KKN location. “UAD has officially imposed a severe administrative sanction on the student with the initials ACR in the form of permanent dismissal. ACR has officially lost his status as a student along with all rights attached to him while at UAD,” Ariadi wrote. Ariadi stressed that UAD does not tolerate any form of academic or non-academic violation, including bullying, sexual harassment, pornography, porno-action, free sex, LGBTQ+, and other immoral acts. “UAD is committed to maintaining integrity, order, and compliance with academic regulations within the campus environment,” he said. The alleged sexual harassment case occurred within the UAD environment during a KKN programme in Sleman Regency. The allegation went viral through an Instagram post by @bemfhuad. A student with the initials ACR was suspected of harassing two female students with the initials FM and ASM. The post also mentioned that the alleged perpetrator not only committed the act but also recounted his actions to several parties. Prior to the expulsion, the university’s Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) had imposed an initial sanction on ACR, cancelling his participation and banning him from the KKN process for two periods. The two alleged victims have also reported the suspected sexual harassment to the Sleman Police. The police have stated that an investigation into the report is underway.
