UAD Student Suspected of Sexual Harassment During KKN Expelled
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) in Yogyakarta has imposed a drop out (DO) sanction on ACR, one of its students who was previously suspected of committing sexual harassment during a Community Service Programme (KKN).
Ariadi Nugraha, Head of Public Relations and Protocol at UAD, said ACR was proven to have committed sexual harassment based on a series of internal campus investigations.
“Yes, (he was proven to have committed harassment),” Ariadi said when contacted on Wednesday evening (15/7).
Meanwhile, according to an official statement issued by Ariadi, the university leadership had taken a decision, namely imposing an academic sanction set out in the UAD Rector’s Decree Number 151 of 2026 concerning the Imposition of Sanctions on the Student Named ACR.
The leadership was acting on the letter from the Head of the UAD Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT), Number 006/SPPKPT-UAD/VII/2026, containing a recommendation regarding student sexual violence at the KKN location.
“UAD has officially imposed a heavy-level administrative sanction on the student with the initials ACR in the form of permanent dismissal as a student. ACR has officially lost his status as a student along with all the rights attached to him at UAD,” Ariadi wrote.
Ariadi stressed that UAD does not tolerate any form of academic or non-academic violations, including bullying and sexual harassment, as well as pornography, pornographic acts, free sex, LGBTQ+, and other immoral behaviour.
“UAD is committed to upholding integrity, order, and compliance with academic regulations within the campus environment,” he said.
The alleged sexual harassment occurred within the UAD Yogyakarta community during a KKN programme in Sleman Regency. The alleged incident went viral through a post on the Instagram account @bemfhuad. A student with the initials ACR was suspected of harassing two female students with the initials FM and ASM.
The post stated that the perpetrator was suspected of not only committing the harassment but also recounting his actions to several parties.
Before the expulsion was issued, UAD’s Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) had already imposed an initial sanction on ACR in the form of cancellation and a ban from participating in the KKN process for two periods.
The two alleged victims also reported the suspected sexual harassment to the Sleman Resort Police. Police said they had opened an inquiry into the report.
