Typhoon victims return home

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: A total 54 families from Sumur Kucing village, Central Lampung, whose homes were demolished in a typhoon last month, have returned from their temporary accommodation, Antara reported yesterday.

The provincial administration has provided Rp 14 million (US$ 6,000) for the residents to repair their houses. "We thank the government for the aid, because now we can leave the homes of our relatives where we've been taking shelter," one of the residents said.

No fatalities occurred in the mid-April typhoon. (swe)
