Two Young Girls Die After Being Hit by a Concrete Mixer Truck in Sidoarjo

As reported by detikJatim on Saturday (16/5/2026), the incident occurred around 4:20 PM local time on the road from Sidoarjo towards Waru, just before the Gedangan intersection traffic light. The victim, AF (13), was riding a motorbike with LF (10) as a passenger.

The two are believed to have fallen while trying to change lanes. Unfortunately, a Dynamix concrete mixer truck driven by Muhammad Alvian (25), a resident of Medan, North Sumatra, was travelling in the same direction, and the fatal accident could not be avoided.

As a result of the incident, both victims suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene. The Head of Traffic Unit of the Gedangan Police Station, Iptu Slamet, confirmed the accident involving a Honda Beat motorbike and a concrete mixer truck.

“It is true that a traffic accident occurred between a Honda Beat motorbike and a concrete mixer truck on Jalan Raya Gedangan before the Gedangan intersection traffic light,” said Iptu Slamet.

He explained that the two female victims suffered severe head injuries, allegedly after being run over by the rear wheels of the concrete mixer truck. Police officers who arrived at the scene immediately conducted a crime scene investigation and evacuated the victims to RSUD Sidoarjo (Sidoarjo Regional General Hospital).

“Currently, the victims have been evacuated to RSUD Sidoarjo, and personnel are still conducting further investigations regarding the cause of the accident,” he added.
