JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Two witnesses refused to attend the witness examination hearing related to the murder case of the head of a state-owned bank branch, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026). The two witnesses are Candy alias Ken and Dwi Hartono. Both are suspected of being the masterminds behind the murder. “The other two are unwilling to give statements in the military court proceedings, as per the letters from the individuals themselves. We also submit their letters,” said Military Auditor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung in the courtroom on Monday (27/4/2026). Wasinton explained that the two witnesses refused to give statements because they feared their testimony in the military trial would burden the positions of Ken and Dwi in the proceedings at the Jakarta Timur District Court. “According to the letter we received, there is concern that the statements to be given would instead burden the individuals themselves in the later district court proceedings. This is in accordance with the letter from the legal advisors we received,” said Wasinton Marpaung. In the trial, the judge asked the Military Auditor to bring the two witnesses back to the next hearing. He added that originally there were seven witnesses scheduled to attend. However, two refused to attend, while one other witness was unable to appear. “Four people are present today: Antonius Aditia Majarjuna (witness 4), Yohanes Joko Pamuntas (witness 5), Muhamad Umri (witness 6), and David Setia Darmawan (witness 7),” said Wasinton Marpaung. Previously, the Military Prosecutor’s Office (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta charged Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Franky Yari in the premeditated murder case related to the death of Mohammad Ilham Pradipta at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta.
