Two Widjaja Family Members Depart BSDE: What's Happening?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) overhauled its board of commissioners during an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) held on 17 June 2026. One of the key decisions approved by shareholders was the resignation of Muktar Widjaja from his position as President Commissioner of the Company. Muktar Widjaja is one of the sons of the late founder of the Sinarmas Group, Eka Tjipta Widjaja. He has long been an important figure in the development of the Sinarmas Group’s property business through Sinarmas Land, including BSDE as the developer of the independent city BSD City. During the RUPSLB, shareholders also accepted the resignation of Michael Jackson Purwanto Widjaja from his position as Vice President Director of the Company. Additionally, BSDE honourably dismissed Teky Mailoa from the position of Vice President Commissioner and Yoseph Franciscus Bonang from the position of Commissioner. Interestingly, the agenda for changing the management composition did not proceed entirely smoothly. Of the total votes present at the meeting, 987.7 million shares, or approximately 5.54%, were recorded as voting against the agenda. Nevertheless, the proposal was still ratified as it obtained majority support from shareholders. As part of the management restructuring, shareholders approved the appointment of Teky Mailoa as President Commissioner, Hongky Jeffry Nantung as Commissioner, and Irhoan Tanudiredja as Independent Commissioner to continue the remaining term of office until the closing of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2029 financial year. With this decision, the composition of BSDE’s Board of Commissioners is as follows: President Commissioner: Teky Mailoa; Commissioner: Hongky Jeffry Nantung; Independent Commissioner: Teddy Pawitra; Independent Commissioner: Susiyati Bambang Hirawan; Independent Commissioner: Irhoan Tanudiredja. Meanwhile, the composition of the Company’s Board of Directors did not change. The position of President Director remains held by Franciscus Xaverius Ridwan Darmali alongside six other directors, namely Lie Jani Harjanto, Syukur Lawigena, Hermawan Wijaya, Liaw Herry Hendarta, Monik William, and Siswanto Adisaputro.
