Two Unknown Individuals Attack Shop Assistant in Karanganyar, Causing Head Injury

A shop assistant at the Rumah Matahari Ayu store in Karangpandan District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, was allegedly attacked by two unknown individuals. The moment of the attack was captured on CCTV.

“It is estimated there were two perpetrators, one male and one female. However, the exact facts will be revealed once the investigation is complete,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation of Karanganyar Police, AKP Wikan Sri Kadiyono, on Thursday (17/09/2026).

The moments of the attack on the victim, identified by the initial N, were uploaded to the TikTok account @rizk99999. In the post, a woman and a man can be seen entering the shop.

Shortly after, the victim appeared to run to avoid being pursued by the male perpetrator. The victim was seen colliding with a shelf and falling while screaming for help.

During the incident, the male perpetrator allegedly committed assault by punching the victim several times. The female perpetrator was then seen approaching, after which both individuals fled the scene, while the victim continued to cry out for assistance.

“According to the victim’s statement, the male was the one who attacked. The female entered the shop with him, but the male was the active aggressor,” said Wikan.

From the crime scene investigation, police found bloodstains in several areas, including the changing room and the cashier desk, believed to be the victim’s blood.

“The violence occurred in the changing room, which is why there are bloodstains there. She was not held captive. There were also traces at the cashier desk; after leaving the changing room, the victim ran to the cashier, left traces, and then called for help,” he explained.

Police are currently hunting for both perpetrators to determine the motive behind the attack.
