Two Trucks Collide on Inner City Toll Road, One Driver Killed

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - An accident involving two trucks occurred on the Inner City Toll Road at KM 02.200, South Jakarta, on Friday (15/5/2026) morning at around 04.30 WIB.

The Head of the Traffic and Road Patrol (PJR) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, AKBP Rieki Indra Bratamanggala, said that the accident began when a dump truck stopped on the shoulder of the road to change a tyre.

As a result of the incident, the driver of the dump truck, who was changing the tyre, suffered injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Hino truck was trapped and died at the scene. Both were then rushed to hospital.

Rieki said that the driver of the Hino truck, with the initials BR, survived the incident. BR is suspected of being drowsy, causing him to lose control while driving.

“Based on the officers’ analysis, the Hino truck driver is suspected of being drowsy,” he said.
