Two TransJakarta Buses Collide on Corridor 13 Towards Cipulir, Passengers Evacuated
Two Transjakarta bus fleet vehicles were involved in an accident on Corridor 13 along the Swadarma section towards Cipulir this morning. Transjakarta confirmed that passengers had been evacuated and those with minor injuries had received treatment.
Transjakarta’s Head of Public Relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, said the incident involved operator buses BMP 263 and MYS 17100. The incident occurred on the Corridor 13 route, which connects several points across South Jakarta. She also extended an apology over the incident.
“Transjakarta sincerely apologises for the accident involving operator fleet buses BMP 263 and MYS 17100 on Corridor 13 (Swadarma section towards Cipulir) this morning,” Ayu said in a statement on Monday (23/2/2026).
Ayu emphasised that passenger safety remains the top priority. Officers were said to have immediately carried out a rapid evacuation to the nearest stop following the incident.
“Our primary focus at this time is ensuring passenger safety. Officers have carried out a rapid evacuation to the nearest stop, and passengers who sustained minor injuries have received treatment,” she said.
The cause of the accident is currently still under investigation. Transjakarta stated it would conduct a thorough inquiry to determine the factors behind the incident.
“The cause of the incident is now undergoing an in-depth investigation. Transjakarta is fully committed to handling this situation swiftly and professionally for the safety of all passengers,” she concluded.
Images circulating on Instagram on Monday (23/2/2026) showed two Transjakarta buses travelling from opposite directions that appeared to have collided head-on. The front windscreens of both buses were visibly shattered as a result of the collision.
