Two Transjakarta Buses Collide at Kampung Rambutan Depot, Bodywork and Windows Shattered

The incident is believed to involve a bus attendant who was driving one of the buses inside the depot area. The incident occurred on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. ‘Transjakarta confirms there was an incident involving two bus units in the Kampung Rambutan Depot area on Tuesday, 19 May 2026,’ she said when contacted on Thursday, 21 May. Buses were not in operation at the time of the incident. Ayu confirmed that both buses were not serving passengers at the time of the incident. ‘As a result, one of the vehicles sustained damage to bodywork and windows. We confirm that there were no passengers on board at the time of the incident, nor were there any fatalities or injuries,’ she said. The company is conducting a deeper investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident. As a follow-up, the bus attendant suspected of involvement has been suspended from the entire Transjakarta ecosystem since the day of the incident. ‘We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the incident,’ she added. Transjakarta also issued a apologies for the incident, stating that it will use the event to tighten safety and operational security measures. ‘Transjakarta expresses its deepest apologies for the inconvenience caused. This incident serves as an important evaluation for us, and we are committed to continuing to strengthen safety, security, and service quality for all loyal Transjakarta customers,’ she added.
