Police have arrested two dealers of illegal prescription drugs in the Kalideres area of West Jakarta. The suspects were using a coffee shop and a cosmetics store as fronts for their operations.

“In the first location, officers seized 75 hexymer pills, 19 tramadol pills, and cash amounting to IDR 230,000,” said Kalideres Police Chief Kompol Rihold Sihotang on Friday (24/7/2026). “At the second location, police found a much larger quantity of evidence, including 1,790 hexymer pills, 918 tramadol pills, and IDR 1,037,000 in cash.”

The suspects, identified by the initials JA and SM, were selling the hard drugs without a doctor’s prescription. Kompol Rihold warned that the misuse of these substances can cause hallucinations and poses a significant threat to the younger generation.

Investigators have also named two other individuals, AS and BN, as wanted suspects. They are believed to be the suppliers of the illegal pharmaceuticals and are currently being pursued by the authorities.
