Two Trains Collide at Bekasi Timur Station

A long-distance train (KAJJ) and a Commuter Line electric rail train (KRL) collided at Bekasi Timur Station in West Java on Monday (27/4) evening. The accident was reported to have occurred around 8:57 PM WIB. Based on information gathered, as quoted from the live broadcast of CNN Indonesia TV, evacuation is still underway. From video recordings circulating on social media, several officers are seen attempting to carry out the evacuation. According to the information received, the women’s carriage of the KRL was struck by the long-distance train.
