Two Tow Trucks Enter Silmy Karim's Residence During KPK Search
Observations at the scene on Friday (5/6/2026) showed the first towing truck entering the premises at approximately 18:00 WIB, with Brimob officers on guard opening the gates. Through the gate, several individuals were seen loading a Harley-Davidson motorcycle onto the first truck. A short time later, a second towing truck arrived to await its turn in transporting items from Silmy Karim’s garage.
Investigators from the Corruption Eradability Commission (KPK) searched the residence of the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Correctional Services (Imipas) located on Jalan Brawijaya III No 5, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The team arrived at 13:46 WIB accompanied by heavily armed Brimob troops. KPK investigators, wearing beige vests marked ‘KPK’, entered the house immediately after the gates were opened, followed by the Brimob units.
Two black Innova vehicles also entered the property, while Brimob forces maintained a perimeter at the front. Silmy Karim has been officially detained by the KPK, alongside seven other individuals who have been named as suspects. The group faces charges related to extortion and gratification. Investigators have seized various pieces of evidence, including foreign currency in US Dollars and Singapore Dollars, as well as precious metals and several vehicles.

Tessar Bayu Setyaji (TBS) – Head of Sub-directorate for Stay Permit Status Change, Directorate of Stay Permits and Immigration Status
Bagus Bramantyo (BGS) – Head of Sub-directorate in the Directorate of Stay Permits
Ronald Arman Abdullah (RAA) – Head of Central Jakarta Immigration Office 2024-2025 and Head of Class I Special Non-TPI Jakarta West Immigration Office 2025-2026
Juniadi Sri Priambudi (JSP) – Head of ITAS Status Change Team
Gusti Benar – Staff of the Stay Permit Sub-directorate
