Two Technology Industry Players in Indonesia & Southeast Asia Collaborate to Develop Latest AI Adoption

Southeast Asia’s digital economy is growing much faster, even outpacing its digital security infrastructure. Responding to this growth, technology company TOTM Technologies Limited and Indonesia’s national AI collaboration platform, Korika, announced the launch of a strategic partnership with the Artificial Intelligence Industry Research and Innovation Collaboration (KORIKA).

“This partnership drives the adoption of the latest secure, responsible and trustworthy technology in Indonesia and Southeast Asia,” said Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of TOTM Technologies, Chan Wei Jie, in a statement on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.

KORIKA was established under the auspices of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (Stranas KA), bringing together government institutions, academia, industry and communities in the field of AI innovation and digital transformation without neglecting security elements.

TOTM Technologies builds digital infrastructure that connects artificial intelligence, quantum-safe technology and digital identity. This enables the expansion of national identity programme coverage and cross-border trust infrastructure in the regional area.

Chan Wei explained that this partnership formalises the shared interest and hope between both parties in promoting cross-border cutting-edge technology collaboration. This will ultimately connect Indonesia’s growing digital economy to the ASEAN region.

“Our partnership with KORIKA reflects our shared perspective that cross-border collaboration is essential to building a more connected and trusted digital economy in ASEAN countries,” said Chan Wei Jie.

“We see this partnership as a point towards a more integrated Southeast Asia, focused on the application of technology and shared capabilities to achieve measurable results,” he said.

Chairman of KORIKA, Prof. Dr. Hammam Riza, said the collaboration covers three areas. First, in the field of artificial intelligence, where this partnership will uphold the development of safe, responsible and inclusive AI, in line with KORIKA’s national mandate and TOTM’s focus on AI governance.

Second, in terms of infrastructure, where both parties will design quantum-secure and identity-based blockchain systems, aimed at anticipating future threats in quantum computing.
