Two tankers carrying 24.2 million litres of Pertalite arrive in Bali
Two Pertamina Patra Niaga tankers carrying a total of 24.2 million litres of Pertalite fuel and 10 million litres of Pertamax have arrived in Bali to accelerate energy distribution on the Island of the Gods.
Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR for East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) Ahad Rahedi in Denpasar, Bali, on Friday, explained that the fuel supply is expected to speed up the dispersal of vehicle queues at a number of petrol stations in Bali.
“After supplies enter the terminal, we optimise operations and distribution for 24 hours to accelerate restocking at petrol stations,” he said.
He explained that the two tankers are MT Green Plus, carrying 22 million litres of Pertalite and 10 million litres of Pertamax, which arrived at the Manggis Integration Terminal in Karangasem Regency at 16.00 WITA, and MT Lineo, carrying 2.2 million litres of Pertalite, which arrived at the Sanggaran Fuel Terminal in Denpasar at 14.00 WITA.
Previously, on Thursday (27/8), the state-owned oil and gas company had also increased Pertalite distribution to 2,300 kilolitres, up 700 kilolitres from the previous day’s distribution of 1,600 kilolitres through the Manggis Integration Terminal and the Sanggaran Fuel Terminal.
The company then arranged the allocation of supplies, particularly to areas that must be prioritised so that the impact can be felt immediately by the public, including in Denpasar City.
Meanwhile, to strengthen Pertalite supplies in Denpasar City, Ahad added that the company has prepared 24-hour operations at the Sanggaran Fuel Terminal to accelerate distribution to petrol stations.
This step is carried out by intensively monitoring stock conditions and distribution, as well as strengthening coordination between fuel terminals, tanker trucks and petrol stations.
Optimisation of fuel distribution, he continued, will continue until fuel availability at petrol stations returns to normal and public queues can be dispersed immediately.
Previously, there was an increase in vehicle queues at a number of petrol stations, particularly in Denpasar City, Tabanan Regency and Badung Regency. According to him, this was a temporary condition influenced by stock adjustments at several supply points.
To address this, the company accelerated supplies, increased distribution, and arranged distribution priorities based on needs and stock conditions in each region.
“We apologise for the inconvenience felt by the public. Pertamina also urges the public to buy fuel according to their needs and not make excessive purchases,” said Ahad.
