Two Civil Servants (ASN) within the Cimahi City Government administration have been named suspects in an alleged corruption case involving labour training programmes for the 2022-2024 fiscal years. The Mayor of Cimahi, Ngatiyana, admitted to feeling ashamed that two of his subordinates were implicated in corruption.

“Yes, it will be evaluated. We must ensure that something like this does not happen again. Naturally, we are ashamed because this work is for the benefit of the community,” Ngatiyana stated, as reported by detikJabar on Friday (4/9/2026).

The suspects, identified by the initials TD and YL, hold significant positions within the Manpower, Placement, and Transmigration Office (Disnaker) of Cimahi City. TD serves as the Head of the Training and Labour Placement Division (P2TKT) and acts as the Budget User Authority (KPA) as well as the Commitment Making Officer. Meanwhile, YL serves as the Assistant Expenditure Treasurer within the same division.

The two individuals are accused of extorting individuals or accepting gifts and promises from several Job Training Institutions (LPK). Based on current calculations, the potential flow of funds received by the two suspects is estimated to reach up to Rp 823,207,240.

“I hope this is resolved properly. We respect and appreciate the legal process. Anyone who dares to act must be brave enough to take responsibility,” said Ngatiyana.

Ngatiyana added that the actions of these two civil servants, involving corruption related to their official duties and functions, have tarnished the reputation of the Cimahi City Government. The programmes that were exploited for corrupt practices will also undergo a thorough evaluation.
