Two students get Rp 900m for schooling
JAYAPURA, Papua: The Papua provincial government allocated
last year a staggering Rp 900 million for two students who were
completing their studies at an aviation school in New Zealand.
John Safkaur, the head of the social welfare section at the
provincial administration, claimed that the financial aid was
aimed at encouraging young Papuans to study aviation, which was
seen as an important field considering that Papua is a
mountainous region.
The two students will complete their course in October this
year. -- Antara
