Two Strategic Steps for Newly Appointed Jampidsus Kuntadi
JAKSA Agung ST Burhanuddin officially inaugurated Kuntadi as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday (24/7). Following the inauguration, Kuntadi emphasised that he would immediately implement two strategic steps to strengthen the performance of the Adhyaksa Corps in the field of special crimes.
Kuntadi’s first priority is to carry out internal consolidation. He considers this crucial, having been away from the Jampidsus environment for approximately two years before being reappointed to lead the directorate. “The first thing I will do is consolidate to measure and assess the situation of my organisation, including the personnel,” Kuntadi said, as quoted from a Metro TV broadcast.
Once the consolidation process is complete, the second step will be to conduct a thorough evaluation. This review will encompass various ongoing programmes and a scrutiny of the cases currently being handled by Jampidsus. Kuntadi stressed that this evaluation aims to ensure all legal processes proceed according to targets and applicable regulations. “After that, I will certainly evaluate the various programme activities, including the handling of ongoing cases,” he added.
Kuntadi’s inauguration was part of a major rotation within the Attorney General’s Office. Alongside him, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin also inaugurated several other high-ranking officials, including Asep Nana Mulyana as the Deputy Attorney General. Other officials sworn in during the same ceremony included Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak as the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum), Harli Siregar as the Head of the Education and Training Agency, and Patris Yusrian Jaya as the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency of the Attorney General’s Office. In his oath of office, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin reminded the newly appointed officials to remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution and to carry out all laws and regulations with integrity for the service of the nation and state.
