Two stabbed in separate incidents
JAKARTA (JP): Two men were stabbed to death in separate incidents on Thursday night and Friday morning.
The first victim, Sugianto, 23, an ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver, was killed by two unidentified men on Jl. Kemuning, South Jakarta.
He was found dead with stabbed wounds in his stomach, face and chest. His Yamaha Force-1 motorcycle and wallet were reportedly missing.
A witness, Bambang, also an ojek driver, said he saw the victim carrying two passengers in the nearby Pasar Minggu area at about 8 p.m. Thursday.
He said violent robbery against ojek drivers in the area had become a common incident.
"Last week, one of our colleagues had his motorcycle stolen. But he was not killed," Bambang said.
The victim killed on Friday was security guard MT Sinulingga, 51.
The employee of a private company was stabbed in the early hours of Friday by an unidentified man while on duty at his office on Jl. Angkasa, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
He died with severe wounds in his stomach and chest.
Kemayoran Police have questioned four men related to the murder. It is believed a grudge was behind the murder, police said. (jun)
