Two Simultaneous Demonstrations Today: Beware of Potential Traffic Jams in Gambir and Senayan

JAKARTA - Two demonstrations will be held in the Central Jakarta area at 11:00 WIB on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will take place on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat and around the Horse Statue, Gambir. “At 11:00 WIB, there will be a rally from BEM SI BSJB Kerakyatan and several other mass elements,” said Erlyn in a written statement on Tuesday. A total of 488 combined police personnel have been prepared for securing the rally on Tuesday. Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the demonstration point will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of people on the ground. “Residents can look for other alternative routes during the rally,” she said.
