Two Schools Prepared for Temporary Relocation of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan Students

The South Jakarta Region I Education Sub-agency has prepared two schools as temporary relocation sites for students of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 while their school undergoes renovation. “We plan for SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 to be relocated to SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 03 and SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 to SDN Kebayoran Lama Utara 03,” said Head of the South Jakarta Region I Education Sub-agency, Santoso, on Wednesday. He stated that the reconstruction of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, which is in a severely damaged condition, is targeted to commence by September 2026 at the latest. During the construction process, teaching and learning activities will be transferred to other schools. The new school building will be a vertical structure, merging the buildings of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 into one. The student relocation will take place just before the demolition phase, which is the initial stage of construction. “When the demolition process is about to begin, we will ensure the students have already been moved,” said Santoso. “As for the construction process, the appointed technical team will be able to explain further,” he added. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to construct a vertical school building to replace SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. This approach aims to optimise limited land and provide students with more spacious open areas for various activities. Furthermore, having a single school management is expected to make the administration of education more effective and efficient.
