Two Red-Plated Alphard Vehicles Travel on Transjakarta "Sky Lane" with Police Escort; Police Investigating

JAKARTA — A video showing two Alphard vehicles bearing red government licence plates travelling on the “sky lane” of Transjakarta corridor 13 with police motorcycle escort has gone viral on social media.

The video was initially posted by Instagram account Gadis Krecek and subsequently shared by account @jakartaselatan24jqm.

“Is it really allowed for non-Transjakarta vehicles to use this sky lane on corridor 13? This is news to me,” the post read, as reported on Friday (27 February 2026).

However, because the vehicles were travelling at speed, the licence plates were not clearly visible.

“This is still being investigated by the Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding the purpose of the vehicles, including their data,” said Budi when met at Bhayangkara Field at National Police Headquarters on Friday.

Budi stated that further developments would be provided once information had been gathered.

“We are still investigating and will provide an update later,” he said.

Kompas.com has also contacted Ayu Wardhani, Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at PT Transjakarta, regarding this matter. However, as of publication, there has been no response.
