Two Protests to Be Held Simultaneously in Jakarta Today; Beware of the Following Congestion Points

JAKARTA - Two protest actions will be held in the Central Jakarta area today, Tuesday (31/3/2026) at 10:00 WIB. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jakarta Central Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will take place on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat and around the Patung Kuda, Gambir. Meanwhile, the second demonstration will be held in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building, Senayan, by members of DPD D.SPTI-K SPSI. A total of 406 combined police personnel are on standby for securing the demonstrations today. Regarding traffic engineering at the demonstration points, this will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of people on the ground. Erlyn advised the public to avoid the areas around the demonstration locations to anticipate traffic congestion.
