Two protests in Jakarta today: traffic congestion expected in Senayan and Menteng

Jakarta, Kompas.com - Two protests are set to take place in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (26 May 2026). A total of 584 police personnel from joint units have been deployed to secure the demonstrations. ‘The rally by the Police Supporters Alliance will commence at 09:00 WIB,’ Erlyn stated in a written release on Tuesday. The action will be organised by the Students’ National Observers Alliance. Erlyn added that traffic management around the demonstration sites will be adjusted based on crowd size. ‘Residents are advised to use alternative routes during the protests,’ she said.
