Two Protests in Jakarta Today: Avoid These Potential Traffic Congestion Points

JAKARTA - Two demonstrations will take place in Central Jakarta today, Thursday (2/4/2026) at 10:00 WIB. The Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metro Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first protest will be held at Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat and around the Patung Kuda in Gambir. The second demonstration will be conducted by members of the Serikat Pekerja PT. Dua Kuda Indonesia alliance at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) in Kemayoran. According to Erlyn, a combined force of 930 police personnel will be on standby to secure the protests in Central Jakarta today. Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the demonstration points will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of participants on the ground. Erlyn advised the public to avoid the areas around the protests to anticipate traffic congestion.
