Two police chiefs installed this month

JAKARTA (JP): Two of the nine police precinct chiefs in Greater Jakarta will be replaced this month, City Police spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said yesterday.

West Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Bakat Poerwanto will be relieved by Lt. Col. Timur Pradopo, the head of the Research Unit at City Police Traffic.

Bakat will be appointed secretary to the chief of Jakarta Police Detectives, replacing Lt. Col. Sunaryono who will become the head of Police Detectives at the North Sumatra capital of Medan.

Bekasi Police Chief Lt. Col. Alex Bambang Triatmojo will be replaced by Lt. Col. Adjie Rustam Randja, a senior officer at the city's Education and Training Department.

Bambang will be promoted to head of the International Cooperation Department at Indonesia's Interpol office here. (cst)
