Two PET Energy Terminals Receive Green PROPER Award, Evidence of Commitment to the Environment

PT Pertamina Energy Terminal (PET) has once again recorded positive performance in environmental management by receiving the Green PROPER award through two of its operating units, namely the LPG Terminal Tanjung Sekong and the Fuel Terminal Baubau. The Green PROPER award, presented by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, serves as recognition of the company’s commitment to implementing environmental management that goes beyond mere compliance, while also demonstrating PET’s consistency in integrating sustainability principles into its operational activities.

PET’s President Director, Bayu Prostiyono, stated that this achievement reflects the company’s commitment to conducting operations that are not only reliable and efficient but also responsible towards the environment and surrounding communities. “This Green PROPER achievement is the result of collaboration among all PET officers in implementing sustainable operational practices, including energy efficiency, waste management, and community empowerment programmes in the areas around operational sites,” said Bayu.

The LPG Terminal Tanjung Sekong and Fuel Terminal Baubau have consistently implemented various environmental initiatives, including the adoption of environmentally friendly technology, emission reductions, and the execution of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programmes that directly impact local communities. This achievement further strengthens PET’s commitment to supporting the national energy transition agenda and realising energy terminal management that meets global standards and is sustainable.
