Two Pakistanis to be deported

JAKARTA (JP): Two Pakistani citizens are to be deported by the
North Jakarta Immigration Office for violating immigration
regulations, an official said on Thursday.

Jakarta Immigration Coordinator Hamsuk S. Widjaya identified
the two Pakistanis as Shahzad Ahmed, 23, who holds passport No.
483880, and Mansoor Ahmed, 28, Passport No. 538740.

"The two arrived in Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport on Sept. 22 in possession of limited stay
visas issued by the Indonesian Consulate in Islamabad," he said.

"When immigration officers checked the address of their
sponsors, it was found to be fictitious," he said.

Hamsuk immediately ordered the head of the North Jakarta
Immigration Office, Iskandar Subur Hartono, to deport them as
soon as possible.

"We will not hesitate to take stern action against those who
violate existing immigration regulations," Hamsuk said. (hhr)
