Two suspects in the murder of the Chairman of the Southeast Maluku Golkar Regional Board, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, have been detained at the Maluku Regional Police Detention Centre. The two, Hendrikus Rahayaan (28) and Finansius Ulukyanan (36), were detained after being designated as suspects. “Both suspects (Hendrikus and Finansius) have been detained at the Maluku Regional Police Detention Centre,” stated the Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, in her statement, as reported by detikSulsel on Tuesday (21/4/2026). Both suspects underwent medical examinations at Bhayangkara Hospital. “After being declared fit, both were officially detained at the Maluku Regional Police Detention Centre based on the detention warrant that has been issued,” she explained. Both suspects are also undergoing further examinations. This follow-up examination is to complete the investigation administration. “To complete the administration and evidence in order to strengthen the case file before it is handed over to the public prosecutor,” she added. Both are charged with premeditated murder. The two suspects are charged under Article 459 in conjunction with Article 20 letter c or Article 458 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c or Article 262 Paragraph 4 of Law (UU) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.
