Jakarta – MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani has commented on the lawsuit against two judges in the Four Pillars quiz competition at the West Kalimantan level. He admitted that he has not yet been fully informed about the lawsuit.

“I haven’t heard about it,” said Ahmad Muzani during a press conference at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

On the same occasion, the Acting Secretary General of the MPR, Siti Fauziah, stated that they had only recently received information regarding the lawsuit. However, she would promptly study the lawsuit in more detail.

“We’ve just been informed, so we will examine it first,” said Siti Fauziah.

On the other hand, MPR RI is also open to the possibility of imposing administrative sanctions on the two judges.

According to Fauziah, the decision regarding sanctions will still be coordinated with the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) and the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) because the two judges hold the status of civil servants (ASN).

“We only communicated with the MPR leadership today, so we will look at the applicable regulations from BKN. Whether there are elements that relate to the existing rules at BKN,” she said.

Previously, MPR RI apologised for the controversy surrounding the Four Pillars MPR RI Quiz Competition (LCC) 2026 at the West Kalimantan Province level, which has recently gone viral.

The apology was posted on the official Instagram account @mprgoid on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

“MPR RI, through the MPR General Secretariat, conveys an apology for the negligence of the judging panel that caused the controversy regarding the implementation of the Four Pillars MPR RI Quiz Competition (LCC) in West Kalimantan Province,” it stated.

Not only that, the MPR also deactivated the judging panel and the host of the quiz event. The MPR will also conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the event.

“Regarding the widespread media social reports about the LCC Four Pillars 2026 at the West Kalimantan Province level, concerning the assessment of participants’ answers in one of the competition sessions, the organising committee from the MPR General Secretariat has deactivated the judging panel and the host for this LCC event,” it stated.

The MPR stated that the quiz competition must uphold sportsmanship and justice. The MPR emphasised that the judging panel should be objective. Therefore, the MPR will evaluate all technical aspects of the competition, including the assessment system.
