Two motorcyclists quarrel after contact in Citayam, both file police reports

Two motorcycle riders were involved in a quarrel sparked by a brush while riding at Tugu Macan, Ragajaya, Bogor Regency. Both filed police reports (LP). The incident occurred on Monday (3 March) at 7:30 a.m. at Tugu Macan, Ragajaya, Bogor Regency. Initially the riders brushed against each other on the road. ‘At first one tried to squeeze through for a side-by-side pass. The rider who thought his lane was correct kicked out, but it didn’t land,’ said Abdullah when contacted by reporters on Friday (6 March 2026). Because they couldn’t accept it, the two riders argued. A local Babinsa (village guard) briefly intervened to separate them. ‘And then neither side accepted being kicked; they began to quarrel. The TNI personnel wanted to separate them as well. Yes, they tried to intervene, so the TNI became frustrated with one of them, and became emotional,’ he said. Abdullah noted that both motorcycles were damaged as a result of the clash. The two filed police reports against each other. ‘No one was injured, but they were arguing and perhaps let themselves down in the heat of the moment,’ he explained. ‘So it was a fight between both; both damaged their motorcycles and both filed reports. The assault report, that one,’ he added. Abdullah said the police are currently attempting to mediate between them. ‘There is no mediation result yet; we’re making efforts, and both sides are keen to mediate; hopefully it will succeed,’ he concluded.
