Two Moroccans missing in Irian
MERAUKE, Irian Jaya: Two tourists from Morocco who were visiting the Merauke regency have been missing since June.
The head of the Merauke Immigration Office, Armili, said yesterday that Ouahi Rachid, 25, and Ouahi Said, 32, arrived in Merauke on June 5 from Jayapura and checked into the Nikmat Hotel.
On June 28 they left the hotel, taking the key with them without notifying the hotel employees of their destination.
Antara reported that after three days the employees, having heard no further from the guests, reported to the local security officials.
"Two bags of dirty clothes were found in their room," said Armili.(anr)
